japanese cross puzzle

This self-made wooden puzzle symbolises the work of an architect at cepezedinterieur. It consists of three sets of two identical blocks made of solid beech wood. Beech wood has a fine grain, perfect for planing and chiselling. The cubes were planed by hand and the recesses chiselled by hand, as with a cross-node puzzle it comes down to tenths of millimetres.
The puzzle pieces are beautiful on their own and form a fine ensemble, in which each cube has its own place. ‘Puzzle’ and ‘precision’ are terms that are often dropped at cepezed. Just like ‘circular’ and ‘demountable’, which this puzzle is one hundred per cent.
