labradorite & white rock crystal

Rock crystal is a quartz stone, aka a compound of silicon and oxygen. The stone delineates space, but if light shines on it, it gains depth and reveals its inner spaces, just like daylight does, when falling into a building. In this sense, the stone symbolises the energising connection between daylight and spatial experience. Labradorite also keeps architects on their toes. The stone has a colourful sheen that you only experience when moving: from every angle and at every moment it looks different. In this way, it mimics a design process, where perspectives and perceptions arise from the fact that everyone experiences architecture differently. It is good to approach a future building from various angles and think about beauty from all those perspectives.
