invertible cube

The invertible cube was designed in 1929 by German sculptor, inventor and mathematician Paul Schatz. Moving the cube manually reveals a world of pluriformity and dynamism behind its static and apparently simple appearance. Mass and air are in delicate balance. Jaap's father bought the cube for his father at MoMA in New York in the early 1980s. In 2008, Jaap inherited it from his grandfather.
