This is the former front door key to the house and studio on the Rietveld in Delft. In this 1994 design by cepezed, a monumental sixteenth-century building was given a high-tech counterpart. The two parts are connected by a glass 'joint'. Growing up in a design by the architectural firm where you later get a job as an architect yourself is not given to everyone. What it brings you as a child? The knowledge that there are always more flavours than the standard. Why keep a front door key when other people live there? It provides access to memories.
