The construction of the Collection Center Netherlands (CC NL) has topped out at its highest point of 24 meters. This was officially celebrated yesterday. Rijksmuseum director Taco Dibbits and director Bart van Eijk of Visser & Smit Bouw addressed all builders with a word of thanks. Afterward, the flag and the symbolic building component for the highest point were raised under the watchful eye of all those present.
The cepezed-designed CC NL is the joint collection depot of museum Paleis Het Loo, the Dutch Open Air Museum, the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam and the Cultural Heritage Agency. As of end of 2020, the building will accommodate the 675.000 objects of these institutions that are not on permanent display.
