cepezed

The Collection Centre Netherlands (CC NL), designed by cepezed, cepezedinterior and the engineering firms ABT, Valstar Simonis and Peutz, is nominated for the international BREEAM Awards. These recognise the achievement of those involved in the specification, design, construction and management of BREEAM certified buildings.

BREAAM is an international tool for the sustainability assessment of new and existing buildings, area developments and demolition projects. The CC NL will be the combined collection depot for the Dutch Open Air Museum, museum Paleis Het Loo, the Rijksmuseum and the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency. At the moment, it is being constructed in Amersfoort-Vathorst. The design was granted the highest possible BREEAM NL certification, ‘outstanding’ (5 stars). The nomination project is nominated in the category Public Sector Projects - Design.

A jury of experts will judge the projects based on, among other things, the BREEAM-score, the applied innovations and the scale-up possibilities of the solutions. The winners will be announced and the Awards will be presented on March 4th during a gala in London’s Hilton Bankside. For more information, also see the BREEAM Awards website. Shortly, it will also be possible to cast a public vote here.
