Last night, co-founder and co-owner Jan Pesman of architecture office cepezed was declared ‘Delft Entrepreneur of the Year’. The title was bestowed on him by a jury of experts of entrepreneurial platform Delft Verbindt (Delft Connects). After a pre-selection, Pesman took on against Raymond van Uffelen of Ray Brandstore and Ronald Lewerissa of LOCOletter, who respectively won the ‘Best pitch’ and ‘Audience Award’.
Following the annual theme of Delft Verbindt, ‘towards the year of the golden age’, criterion for this year’s election was a ‘golden opportunity’. According to the jury, Pesman has seen, seized and realized one with the founding of cepezedbouwteam (cepezed building team), a building branch associated with architecture office cepezed. cepezedbouwteam organizes construction work without the intervention of a main contractor and can thus fully focus on quality within the current economic boom focused on quantity. With cepezedinterior and cepezedprojects, the architecture office already had specific in-house expertise in interior design and project development. The building branch completes cepezed’s service package, so it can now accommodate its clients from a to z.
For his election, Pesman received the Joost Verhoef Award 2018, named after the Delft hospitality expert Joos Verhoeff, who passed away this summer and played an important role in connecting Delft entrepreneurs. The prize was presented by mayor Marja van Bijsterveldt, former Minister of Education, Culture and Science.
