Coming Wednesday October 9th, cepezed partner and architect Ronald Schleurholts will give a lecture during the 8th edition of the VELUX Daylight Symposium in Paris. The symposium attracts more than 600 professionals and examines the role and importance of daylight in creating healthy and resilient buildings. Key is the relationship between theory and practice: how do we design, build and create healthy buildings and living environments? In addition to Schleurholts, international scientists such as Joseph Allen of the Harvard School of Health in Boston and Till Roenneberg of the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich will also speech. During his contribution ‘A case for unrequested daylight’, Schleurholts argues for the wide application of daylight in buildings, even for building types where this is not necessarily required. Through various case studies, he shows how cepezed deals with daylight in infrastructure projects, research buildings and schools, among others.

The VELUX Daylight Symposium is held every two years since 2005. Previous editions took place in Budapest (2005), Bilbao (2007), Rotterdam (2009), Lausanne (2011), Copenhagen (2013), London (2015) and Berlin (2017). More information on the symposium through the VELUX website.
