cepezed partner and architect Ronald Schleurholts is one of the fifty front runners in sustainability within the Dutch construction and real estate sector. A professional jury selected him for the ABN AMRO Sustainable 50, an annual inventory of people who contribute most to sustainability in the industry. With the selection, Schleurholts is also nominated for the ABN AMRO Sustainable 50 Award. This prize will be awarded to the person on the list that distinguishes itself the most in terms of sustainability.
The Sustainable 50 was compiled for the eight time this year. The 15-member professional jury including the last three Award winners, based its selection on four aspects: the contribution of the recommended candidates to enabling sustainable projects, their efforts for sustainable initiatives, their merits in the field of active knowledge sharing on sustainability and their engagement in initiating and encouraging sustainable cooperation.
Together with cepezed and its partners, Ronald Schleurholts focuses on scalable circular construction solutions, among other matters of sustainability. In addition, he frequently gives lectures and classes on sustainable construction and frequently participates in panels and forums on the subject. His recent projects that received much appreciation for their sustainability and circularity include the Temporary Courthouse in Amsterdam and the circular pavilion The Green House in Utrecht.
The winner of the ABN AMRO Sustainable 50 Award will be announced on Wednesday April 10th during the Green Tie Gala in RAI Amsterdam, part of the Building Holland trade fair. For more information on the gala and the Sustainable 50 list, see the website of Duurzaam Gebouwd (Sustainably Built).
