cepezed and cepezedinterieur are in competition to renovate the town hall of West Betuwe! With short videos, four architectural firms present their proposal for the sustainability, modernization and extension of the existing town hall. You can vote for one of the plans via the website of the Municipality of West Betuwe.
balance & careful integration
The new municipality is a merger of the towns of Geldermalsen, Neerijnen and Lingewaal and will move into the current town hall of Geldermalsen. With the motto of cross-fertilization, cepezed explores the balance between two new wooden pavilions and making the existing building more sustainable. The setting in the park is improved by adding green to the forecourt and the careful fitting in of the new building parts between the ponds and monumental trees.
healthy & comfortable workplaces
The existing offices and meeting rooms in the buildings will be furnished with a rich diversity of healthy, comfortable workplaces. In the heart of the work area, the existing patio is covered with a wooden roof realizing a meeting square with workplaces, coffee bar, kitchen and ample planting.
multifunctional council room & living room
A new, inviting pavilion with a striking wooden roof is partly positioned in front of the existing complex and contains the public entrance with counters, consultation rooms, waiting areas, break-outs and the multifunctional council chamber. This council chamber is flexible in use thus become a living room for the new municipality. Gatherings, events, concerts, lectures, and wedding ceremonies can easily be held next to council meetings.
