On June 2, the pavilion The Green House and the recently officially opened State Office De Knoop are on the program of the Utrecht Day of Architecture. With the high sustainability ambition in mind, the former Knoopkazerne has been demolished as little as possible in the transformation into the modern office for civil servants. Within the circular concept, part of the demolition material, such as the striking smoke glass panels, was used for the new façade of the adjacent pavilion.
Architects Ruben Molendijk and Jaap Bosch from cepezed and Corine Holtmaat from Albron will give a presentation on the circular design and construction process of both projects, followed by an extensive tour in and around The Green House. Albron is one of the initiators of The Green House.
