In the presence of many attendees, the first screw anchor for the new building of Oldelft Ultrasound was wound into the ground today. In both the design and the realization of the project, nature-inclusivity is an important theme. For example, the façade contains a lot of greenery that promotes biodiversity. The builders also take measures to protect small mustelids, the water shrew and various bird species on and in the vicinity of the TU Delft Campus. Concerning sustainability in general, the building will gain a BREEAM Excellent certification.
flora and fauna
The realization is under supervision of cepezedbouwteam (cepezed construction team), who has prepared a special ecological report for the construction and based a nature-inclusive work protocol on that. The report includes measures to make the construction site safe for flora and fauna. For example, vibration-free screw anchors are used for the foundation, rainwater drainage is set up to protect the habitat of the shrew and the site lighting remains limited. cepezedbouwteam monitors compliance with the protocol by means of weekly inspections.
ceremony and sales
The entire Oldelft team was present at the winding of the first ceremonial anchor. Other representatives were from the TU Delft, the municipality of Delft and investor ASR. The ASR Dutch Science Park Fund recently purchased the new Oldelft headquarters from cepezedprojects.
turnkey
The nature-inclusive new building on the southern part of the TU Delft Campus is a turnkey cepezed production. cepezedprojects develops the building, cepezed and cepezedinterior designed it and cepezedbouwteam takes care of the construction coordination. Completion is scheduled for December 2020.
